Babatunde Onasanya. MD, FAAP, CHCQM
Physician
Dr. Onasanya is the Principal Physician at Medilag Pediatrics, PC. He is certified in both General Pediatrics and Neonatal/Perinatal Medicine. Dr. Onasanya earned his medical degree in 1989 from the University of Lagos, Nigeria. His medical career started in Trinidad and Tobago, where he worked as a House officer and Junior Registrar in General Pediatrics and Neonatology. He completed his residency in general pediatrics at Bronx Lebanon Hospital, an affiliate of the Albert Einstein College of Medicine, New-York. He stayed on as Chief Resident and proceeded to fellowship in Neonatology at the Children’s National Medical Center and the George Washington University Medical Center, Washington DC. Upon completion of his fellowship, he worked briefly in Dallas Texas as a Neonatologist before relocating to Atlanta in 2002. He continues to works as a Neonatologist and general pediatrician, especially serving the community in the field of newborn care and general pediatrics. An avid reader and traveler, he also enjoys photography and cooking at his spare time.
Ms. Stephanie Snipes, PA
Physician Assistant
Ms. Snipes is an original native of Chicago, Illinois. She moved to Atlanta, Georgia in 2002 after graduating from Tuskegee University, where she majored in Medical Technology. She attended Malcolm X College in Chicago, Illinois, where she received her degree as a Physician Assistant. Ms. Snipes has practiced in the field of pediatrics and newborn care for over 22 years, and she is comfortable with complex healthcare issues in both newborn care and general pediatrics. She is mother five adorable children; in her spare time she enjoys crafts, reading and volunteering at children activities.
Ms. Lea Bade
Office Coordinator
Ms. Bade has been in the Healthcare profession since 2019. A graduate of the Georgia State University, with a major in Business administration. Ms. Bade has worked with Medilag Pediatrics for five year, during which she took one year off. Originally from Cote d’ Ivoire. She is fluent in both English and French. An avid soccer mom of two lovely boy. When she is not working, she is busy enjoying quality time with her children, running from one sporting activity to the other.
Ms. Rossy Acosta
Medical Assistant
Ms. Rossy Acosta has been employed with Medilag Pediatrics for over 15 years. She has been a medical assistant for about 18 years. An original native of Oceanside, California, she moved to Atlanta in 1997, and has made Atlanta’s home ever since. She is Fluent in both English and Spanish, A proud mother of two young adult men, Ms. Acosta has also watched most of the patients at Medilag Pediatrics grow from newborns to young adults; she is adored and loved by the parents. In her spare time, Ms. Acosta enjoys nature walking, beach activities, outdoor events and kickboxing.
Ms. Rosie Segueda
Medical Assistant
Ms. Rosie Segueda has been a Medical assistant since 2018, after graduating from Alterius College in Norcross, Georgia. She started working at Medilag Pediatrics in 2022, and proved to be an invaluable asset to the practice. Ms. Segueda who is both fluent in both English and Spanish, is a mother of two adorable girls; the girls loves and enjoy gymnastics. An avid sport enthusiast, she enjoys spending quality time with family and spending time in nature.
Jennifer Johnson
Billing/ Front Office
Ms. Jennifer Johnson is an original native of Lawrenceville, Georgia. She graduated from Alterius College in Norcross, Georgia, with certification in Medical Coding and billing. Prior to joining Medilag Pediatrics, she worked with the Walmart healthcare center, in Suwanee, Georgia. Ms. Johnson, who is both fluent in English and Spanish, is a “people person” with a great sense of duty and responsibility. She brightens the day of her patients and acquaintances with her broad smile and happy disposition. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, travelling, in addition to being a food and cultural enthusiast.
Ms. Jessica Rios
Front Office/Administration
Ms. Rios has been with Medilag Pediatrics for over 15 over years. An original native of Tegucigalpa, Honduras. She has worked in the healthcare industry for over 30 year in many capacities. Ms. Rios is fluent in both English and Spanish. She is a mother of two grown ladies and a grandmother of two lovely girls. She enjoys music, puzzles and cooking Hispanic cuisines.
